Brian works for the Department of Unusual and Paranormal Examination and Security, a secret interdimensional organization committed to maintaining order in areas outside the realm of modern science. Of course, the irony of being an otherworldly anomaly himself is not lost on him (he says it gives him a credibility boost).

Personality-wise, he's very confident and competitive, often to the point of being obnoxious. He claims to be the sexiest thing on four legs, which would be quite arrogant if it wasn't true. He has an exceptional memory, which he mostly uses to gain leverage over others by bringing up even their most obscure past infractions. He has a natural contempt for this world's most high-profile intelligence and investigative agencies, and often complains that his own agency doesn't fully appreciate his abilities. He is, however, very intelligent, always honest, and always trustworthy. He works diligently at his job, and despite his apparent arrogance, he really does have the universe's best interests at heart.
