I heard the original song by daniwellP from this YouTube video, and I thought, "wouldn't this be cool if Emerson Lake and Palmer covered this song? Now, you're probably thinking one of two things: either "Who are Emerson Lake and Palmer?" or "OH JESUS GOD NO!!!"

"Twenty-Six and a Half", a musical tribute to "Weird Al" Yankovic, is now available for digital download. This album features acts such as The Great Luke Ski, Devo Spice, Steve Goodie, Worm Quartet, Insane Ian, TV's Kyle, Nuclear Bubble Wrap, and of course, me! This is a very well-put-together album by the who's-who of independent novelty music…and me.

Proceeds from the album go to aid the Weird Al Star Fund and Make the Rock Hall Weird, organizations geared towards getting Al a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and to get him inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! This is the first completed track from the upcoming album, "One Out".

"One Out" is an album that started out as an experiment to see how quickly I could do one. I hope to have it finished by the end of the year.

This song was basically created by stringing a bunch of little ideas into something resembling a song. Then again, that's how it usually happens. This is one of the more upbeat tracks. There's a little bit of Billy Joel, early Beatles, Matthew Ebel, and probably a few others I can't identify right now.

And thus begins a new chapter in the saga of whatever the hell I feel like shouting about. A new song, in the style I've sort of become famous for, the manly breed of Dementia…or should we say DeMANtia?…no, we shouldn't.

Anyway, here's a heavy metal tribute to literally the coolest people to ever live, as opposed to the crappy football team named after them.

By the way, if the Vikings end up going 0-16 because of this song, I apologize in advance. But if they win it all…GUESS WHO YOUR NEW GOD IS!!! (hint: me)

It began as a stupid phrase, uttered as part of a caffeine-fueled stream-of-consciousness rant that went absolutely nowhere. Now, I'd been a huge fan of Worm Quartet from the first time I heard them, and I'd been wanting to do a proper style tribute for years, so sensing an opportunity, I returned to this stupid phrase and expanded it into a 4'22" homage to the most arbitrary ramblings from WQ's repertoire. And somehow halfway through it also became a Soggy Potato Chips style tribute. I apologize in advance for that. Actually, I apologize for the whole thing. It never should have been done; I don't know what I was thinking. STOP LISTENING TO ME! AND QUIT STARING AT MY GRAPEFRUITS!
